Stockland uses the value chain discussion to concisely demonstrate the scope of the company’s operations. Through the cycle presented, Stockland identifies which elements they are wholly responsible for, those which it coordinates or can undertake and lastly which areas are not undertaken by the business. This is completed for each of the four areas in which the business operates, with the objective of demonstrating that the business is not a builder. The following page then clearly identifies the company’s stakeholders which helps to tie together what the business does, with who Stockland impacts.
