BNDES uses the President’s statement to clearly frame the company’s role in society – acting as the foundation for Brazil to sustain its development process towards the eradication of poverty – and to explain why the idea of producing an Integrated Report is appropriate for the business. BNDES identifies the concept of sustainability as underpinning the business, with several examples of the work which have been carried out, such as supporting micro and small companies and BNDES’s participation with various ministries and public agendas.
